Abstract

The effect of Cu substitution on the properties of magnesium-zinc ferrites sintered at low temperature were investigated. The densification of MgCuZn ferrite is dependent upon Cu concentration in the composition of Mg0.5-xCuxZno.5Fe2O4 + 0.5 MgO. The sintered ferrite with a density of about 4.5 g/cc and the electrical resistivity greater than 108 Ω⋅cm was obtained at relatively low sintering temperature (1050 oC), for x = 0.3. This sintering conditions are suitable for multilayer chip inductor application..
