Abstract
We investigated the photo-induced changes in chalcogenide (selenium) glasses by self consistent tight-binding molecular dynamics simulations. Our aim was to prepare realistic glassy networks which mimic the real thin film structures. The samples, prepared by a 'cook and quench' method, were used in a systematic study of the response to light induced excitation. Light-excitation was modeled by transferring an electron from the HOMO to the LUMO state..
