Abstract
The study was focused on MgFe2O4 ceramic compound and it was investigated the influence of Sn and Mo ions which partly replaced Fe and Mg on the microstructure and humidity sensitivity of the electrical resistivity. We preferred the Mg based ferrite because: i) it is a slightly porous ceramic and ii) its high resistivity can support large humidity variations (over three orders of magnitude). In addition, the stability of Mg2+ ions avoids the appearance of Fe2+ ions which participate to the conduction process in the ferrite..
