Abstract

This paper presents an overview on the soft magnetic nanocrystaline powders obtained by mechanical a loying routes. First, the different mechanical routes (mechanical a loying, combined mechanical alloying and annealing and mechano chemical techniques) used for the elaboration of nanocrystaline magnetic powders are discussed. The structural and magnetic properties as a function of experimental conditions are reviewed on the base of folowing categories of soft magnetic nanocrysta line/nanosized powders: ferrites, Ni-Fe aloys and other iron-based systems. Fina ly, design of new magnetic materials using nanocrystalline powders produced by mechanical alloying routes is also considered..
