The quaternary p-type semiconducting material,Cu2ZnSnS4(CZTS),has been investigated extensivelyin solar cell studies becauseofits nontoxic constituentmaterials,low cost,suitableband gap andhighabsorption coefficient(104 cm-1).In this presentwork,thethin film of CZTS(kesterite)wassuccessfully deposited over glass substrateusingthe chemical bath deposition(CBD)method.Thestructural properties of the synthesized materialwerestudied usingX-Ray Diffraction(XRD).Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) was used to obtain surface morphological information.UV-Visible spectrophotometerwas employed to study the optical characteristics of the samples. Raman spectroscopy was used to determine the presence of anysecondary phaseimpurities.
