The time contrast algorithm proposed in this paper uses a time series recorded in a coherent light scattering experiment performed on a Fe3O4 nanofluid during its rapid aggregation in diluted aqueous solution. The time series was analyzed both using the alternative Dynamic Light Scattering data processing algorithm as reference and the time contrast procedure. The time contrast parameter variation is compared with the average aggregates diameter variation during nanoparticles aggregation and the results suggest a simple procedure for qualitative monitoring of the nanoparticles aggregation process..
