Abstract

Bulk glasses of system (As2Se3)80-x(As2Te3)x(SnTe)20 (x = 0, 5, 10, 15, 20) were prepared by melt quenching method from high purity elements. Amorphous thin films were prepared by pulsed laser deposition. The optically and thermally induced changes of basic parameters of thin films (As2Se3)80-x(As2Te3)x(SnTe)20 were studied using optical transmittance measurements and spectral ellipsometry. The values of refractive index and its third order non-linear coefficient of PLD layers with x = 15 and 20 slightly increased after exposure and even more after annealing near Tg. These values decreased after exposure and increased after annealing in PLD layers with x = 0; 5 and 10. Optical band gap slightly decreased after exposure and annealing near Tg..
