Abstract

Single crystals of Cadmium doped ZnHPO4 were grown by using single diffusion technique at ambient temperature. Crystals with different morphologies and effect on various parameters like gel pH, and gel ageing, gel density and concentration of reactants on the growth of CdZnHPO4 crystals were studied. The crystals grown were characterized by XRD, SEM, FTIR, UV, SHG and TG-DTA. XRD studies reveal that the crystal lattice of the Cadmium doped ZnHPO4 is orthorhombic and crystalline perfection. Functional groups were identified by FTIR analysis. Cadmium doped ZnHPO4 is stable up to a temperature of 110 °C..
